Here’s a whole new spin! An advanced workout for those who have long since tired of lying on the floor to work out. Learn to use your wall space to simulate exercises from the mat and other equipment but in a completely fresh, new way. Using props and clever positioning, this workout will target the larger muscle groups for a challenging Pilates workout.
Alycea Returns to Amangani!
Alycea returns to Amangani with a brand new retreat based on her new book and DVD set, Everyday Pilates.
Exercise doesn't have to take long. Everyday Pilates is a new program consisting of four 15 minute routines designed to get you off the floor and out the door. Using abbreviated routines and targeting the major muscle groups, Ungaro will lead participants through a variety of exercises designed to be performed in short snippets throughout the day. Learn how to perform the basic Mat exercises and then move right into upright positions, from sitting to kneeling and finally standing, all while strengthening your body. With little more than a mat and a set of dumbells, your entire body will reap the benefits of these clever workouts.
Participants will:
- Learn the fundamental principles of Pilates and how they apply to real life.
- Perform 4 unique routines for a comprehensive wellness regimen
- Establish modifications to tailor their own personal routines
- And breathe. All participants will learn the optimal breathing sequence for Everyday Pilates.

During this workout, you will be guided through a classic series that will tone and strengthen your abdominals, back, buttocks and thighs.
